Samsung has officially launched its flagship tablet lineup, the Galaxy Tab S12 Series, in Thailand. Designed to deliver PC-grade workstation power in an ultra-portable profile, the series comprises the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+. Both devices feature cutting-edge 3nm processing architecture, multi-day battery endurance, and deeply integrated Galaxy AI capabilities.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra sets an engineering milestone as Samsung’s thinnest Galaxy Tab to date, measuring just 5.1mm in thickness—nearly 50% lighter than standard laptops. To sustain heavy sustained creative and professional tasks, Samsung engineered a redesigned 3D Vapor Chamber cooling architecture that delivers efficient thermal dissipation. Both models in the lineup hold an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Performance is driven by a state-of-the-art 3nm processor. Compared to the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, the new platform delivers a 61% boost in NPU capability, 19% faster CPU speeds, and a 17% gain in GPU performance. Battery endurance reaches up to 23 hours on the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and up to 21 hours on the Galaxy Tab S12+. Using 45W fast-charging adapters, both models can recharge from 0% to 100% in approximately 95 minutes.
Visual duties are handled by Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays capable of peak brightness levels up to 1,600 nits, bolstered by Vision Booster technology for real-time ambient lighting adaptation. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra carries an expansive 14.6-inch panel, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ sports an upgraded 12.6-inch display with trimmed bezels. Audio performance has been overhauled with a 4-channel spatial audio system featuring four stereo speakers—doubling the audio channel count of its predecessor.
On the software front, the series runs Android 17 with One UI 9, introducing Multiple Workspaces supporting up to four independent desktop configurations. The interface allows three-way Multi Window split-screen productivity paired with an ergonomic S Pen. Within Samsung Notes, the integrated Note Assist suite can automatically summarize content, translate text, transcribe voice recordings, organize layouts, and solve handwritten mathematical formulas. For professional input, the optional Pro Keyboard adds a dedicated physical Galaxy AI Key alongside a premium aluminum chassis, complemented by the Book Cover Keyboard Slim accessory.
Samsung is bundling six months of complimentary Google AI Pro access, unlocking advanced Gemini models and Gemini Notebook workspace tools. The native Samsung Browser has also been updated to analyze web content across open tabs, map context from browsing history, and retrieve previously viewed references instantly.
Marking a major software milestone for Android tablets, full-featured Adobe Photoshop arrives on the Galaxy Tab S12 Series with specialized tablet UI optimizations, native S Pen integration, and Adobe Firefly Generative AI tools such as Generative Fill and Image to Video. Samsung provides a creative and productivity software benefit package valued at over $600 USD (exceeding 20,000 THB), including 4 months of Photoshop mobile, 6 months of Notability with a 20% renewal discount, 1 year of Goodnotes full access, 66% off LumaFusion with 1 month of Creator Pass, 1 month of Notion Plus, and 6 months of Clip Studio Paint with a 20% renewal discount.
