Announced at the CPHI Southeast Asia 2026 event in Bangkok, Thailand, this innovation aims to transform drug delivery through a fully integrated, verified platform from a single supplier.
The West Synchrony PFS system is specifically designed for biologics and vaccines. Armed with a comprehensive performance data package and regulatory documentation, the platform allows manufacturers to select and develop prefilled syringes with greater speed and efficiency.
The Southeast Asian biopharmaceutical sector is experiencing rapid advancements in complex biologics and vaccines, driving demand for solutions that simplify technical, regulatory, and supply chain complexities. The West Synchrony PFS addresses these challenges, accelerating development timelines and supporting the safe delivery of treatments to patients.
Key features of the West Synchrony PFS system include:
- System-Level Performance: Comprehensive verification and characterization data packages from a single source to ensure the form, fit, and function of the entire PFS system.
- Streamlined Regulatory Filing: Utilizes a single system-level Drug Master File (DMF) with extensive regulatory data to optimize the approval process.
- Single-Source Supply: Procured through a single vendor, supporting both make-to-stock and make-to-order requirements with flexible minimum order quantities to enhance supply chain agility.
As part of the launch at CPHI Southeast Asia 2026, Michael Lai, Regional Director of Strategic Marketing, Biologics & Glass Systems, Asia Pacific at West, delivered a technical seminar titled “Stop Piecing It Together—Get an Integrated Verified Prefillable Syringe System from One Source,” highlighting the critical role of integrated drug delivery systems in advancing biopharmaceutical innovation.
The West Synchrony PFS system is now available to biotech and pharmaceutical companies across Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
