Leading Thai coconut processing company Theppadungporn Coconut Co., Ltd., producer of the “Chaokoh” brand, has opened its factory to the media and business partners, highlighting its internationally certified production standards, advanced food safety systems, and sustainability-driven operations developed over more than five decades. The showcase reflects its commitment to transparency, innovation, and sustainable growth amid growing challenges facing the global coconut industry.
“Over 50 years, Chaokoh has been committed to developing high-quality products recognized worldwide. Our coconut milk products remain the core driver of the business, with around 80% exported overseas and 20% distributed domestically,” said Mr.Kieattisak Theppadungporn, Managing Director of Chaokoh Factory at Theppadungporn Coconut Co., Ltd., adding that the company’s manufacturing systems are certified under international standards including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, BRCGS Issue 9, GHP, and HACCP.
Chaokoh’s product range includes coconut milk, coconut water, cold-pressed coconut oil, crispy coconut snacks, and canned fruits and vegetables.
Despite stagnant overall growth in Thailand’s coconut milk export market in 2025, according to data from the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Chaokoh reported a 20% increase in export sales, outperforming broader market trends.
The company attributed the growth to its strategy focusing on brand trust and transparency through investments in technology and strict compliance with international environmental standards—factors now increasingly demanded by global trading partners.
Combating Adulteration with Cutting-Edge CRDS Technology
Amid mounting challenges in the global coconut industry, including shrinking cultivation areas, drought, and pest outbreaks, the company said product authenticity and coconut water adulteration have become major concerns.
To address the issue, the company has invested more than 10 million baht in CRDS (Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy), an advanced laser-based technology designed specifically to analyze sugar profiles in coconut water. The system enables precise detection of adulteration and helps ensure that all Chaokoh coconut water products remain 100% natural.

Driving ESG: Waste to Renewable Energy
Beyond food safety and quality control, the company has integrated ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles into its operations, particularly through circular economy practices aimed at maximizing the use of raw materials.
Byproducts left after coconut milk production — including coconut residue, coconut husks, and shells — are repurposed into renewable biomass energy to power the factory, helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions and move toward a zero-waste target.
The company’s environmental and energy management systems are certified under ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 50001:2018, and the company also adheres to Thai labor standards TLS8001-2020 and international ethical audit standards under SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit).
“The factory visit shows that Chaokoh is not only a global leader in taste and quality, but also an organization prepared to adapt to change through innovation and responsible business practices,” said Mr.Chavapon Theppadungporn, Production Manager at Chaokoh Factory.
“Our partners and consumers can rest assured that every Chaokoh product is rooted in truly sustainable business practices.”
