True Corporation has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Medicine at Thammasat University, Thammasat University Hospital, and EGG Digital to integrate medical expertise, advanced technology, and digital solutions to drive Thailand’s transition into Healthcare AI.
Central to this collaboration is the establishment of the “Thammasat–True AI Health Innovation Hub.” The facility will function as a national center for medical AI innovation, combining electronic health records with artificial intelligence to optimize risk assessment, streamline administrative workflows, and assist clinicians in decision-making for patient-centric care.
The initiative also focuses on workforce upskilling. Through custom learning programs co-developed with True Digital Academy, the partnership will train medical students, faculty, and healthcare staff in AI application while laying the groundwork for a new graduate program in Medical Digital Technology, scheduled to open in the 2027 academic year.
Structured around six core transformation pillars, the MOU encompasses:
- Workforce Upskilling: Enhancing AI and digital technology competencies across all operational levels.
- Medical Education: Introducing AI fundamentals and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) management into undergraduate medical studies.
- R&D in Medical AI: Collaborating with EGG Digital to create Health Score models and AI Clinical Intelligence systems for screening and risk evaluation.
- Innovation Hub: Launching the Thammasat–True AI Health Innovation Hub as an ecosystem for research and knowledge sharing.
- Academic Advancement: Developing a specialized graduate degree in Medical Digital Technology by 2027.
- Clinical Implementation: Translating research outcomes into operational pilot projects within strict legal and ethical parameters.
Sarinra Wongsuppaluk, Chief Human Resources Officer at True Corporation Plc, stated that the partnership supports True’s “Big Move” initiative toward becoming an AI-First Company. By supplying robust digital infrastructure, True aims to build an AI-ready workforce and bridge the gap between academic research and operational clinical practices.
